Seems like we're going through a dry spell on 100GB+ drives. I've been checking www.techbargains.com and www.pricewatch.com (and newegg.com), but still haven't found the great 100GB for $100.

Anybody else having luck?

Hey Fubar I just got the same thing today. I had to buy it Local so it ends up being just under $200 with tax after the rebate. For some reason I thought I read you could by pass the 137 barrier but guess I was wrong. So now I have to decide if I want to eat the extra $$ spent to have the most capacity in one drive. I almost want to say yes as the Tivo can sometimes drive me crazy @ 3 am when Im trying to get to sleep and it's making HDD noises. I'm assuming 2 HDDs would be twice as much noise...right?

My other option I was looking at was a 100GB deal @ J&R. You have to send in a rebate but it comes to just over $100 with S&H...that'd be an extra 60GB of space for the same $$ but more noise...

I installed the 160GB in my PC and it doesn't seem to make any noise. I previously installed a 100GB in the Tivo and that didn't make noise either.

You might want to check your Compusa stuff, I got a $30 mail in rebate on the 160GB.
