Some back groud info: SAT-T60 upgraded with a 80gig Drive and a 30 gig Drive B ( the orginal drive A)

I got home last night and I had no audio output so I restarted from the system menu. System never did restart and it sat the almost there screen for 15 hours. I tried the pause test and nothing happens I also tried 52 and 57 during startup. So I pulled out the drive and checked the logs. It mentoned a bad secord on partition 9 so I ran PowerMax and told it remap the bad sector. Still no change. So I restored the backup on the the 30 gig, no luck. So I tried restoreing onto the 60gig still no go.

Attached is the kernel log from before I restored.

Thanks for the help.

The lines that say

code:
Jan 1 00:00:50 (none) kernel: hda: unexpected_intr: status=0xd0 { Busy } Jan 1 00:00:50 (none) kernel: hda: unexpected_intr: error=0xd0 { BadSector UncorrectableError SectorIdNotFound }, secCnt=66, CHS=0/0/0

suggest that the 80Gb drive is failing. There does seem to be a problem on hda9 as well, perhaps that's what these lines are saying:

code:
00:00:52 (none) kernel: hda: unexpected_intr: status=0xd0 { Busy } Jan 1 00:00:52 (none) kernel: hda: unexpected_intr: error=0xd0 { BadSector UncorrectableError SectorIdNotFound }, secCnt=208, LBAsect=13684944

Although fsck is running on /var (hda9) it looks like that's just because TiVo reboots without unmounting /var and the filesystem is OK, although mtab is missing, which is a bit odd.
