does anyone know when this will be available to order, I called on saturday when I was trying to order the community shield...
And the rep said all he had was the listing for the 01-02 season.

Okay
Just spoke to a CSR and was able to sign up for this season.
And it's gone up a bit in price this season, last year it was 159 for the saturday game. This year it's 269 for the season, and I am not sure if this is just a saturday game, or if it is also a sunday game.
Anyway you can do the 4 monthly payment option of 67.25/Month also

As a Brit living out here I always like to watch the Premier League but I am happy with the 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday tape delayed game on FSW.
$250 ish is just too much for me.

I can't justify $250 either when Fox Sports have most of them tape-delayed or live in the mid-week. My wife gets to watch most of the live mid-week games and records them for me. At the weekend, I just watch the tape-delayed ones - I'm too lazy to get up at 7am to watch them anyway!
Cheers,
Ears.

I tivo em and watch it when I rise, at 8 or so... I figure that if I would order 10 of em on pay-per-view, and chances are that I would, at either 15 or 20 dollars per, the charity shield was 20, I am close to break even.
Plus now I get 2 on saturday, and I think 2 on sunday, and 1 on monday and one midweek...
All good, it's expendable income, I wonder what the take up on it is though

My guess is that the price is quite high because of a generally low take up. I have lived in the US for 10 years now and my need to watch games is much much less. I still follow on the internet up to the minute though I will ignore the score if I know I can watch the game later that day or maybe even the next day.
I would probably not pay for even one pay-per-view on a game by game basis except at the end of the season for a big game that really mattered.
Badly Drawn Boy - who is your team ?

A nice side Man U. The only thing I can say in my defence is that I lived 120 miles from Manchester and missed only 7 home games in the 25 years before I moved here (that includes going to a game as a 7 day old baby. I followed Leeds for a few years in the 70's as a rebellion but have basically always been a, very realistic, MUFC fan.
I did have the honor of being hit by a nailed golf ball at Anfield once.
Where do you live now ?

PS. I am a big BadlyDrawnBoy Fan.

I live not too far from you now in SF... although as an irish lad, I have not been to anfield much. 2 times in the last couple of years though, more money as a grown up than as a kid...
