Hi
I'm looking to uprgrade my TiVo but not having the confidence to do it myself I'm looking for someone to do it for me if possible (for a fee of course!)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you feel capable of swapping your drive(s), you might want to try Trevor or Rob (see the forum FAQ), who can initialise new ones for you. It is relatively easy to send drives through the post using Special Delivery.
I didn't want to muck about with Unix, etc, but swapping drives is relatively safe. I sent Trevor two new drives to replace both of my original ones. The real advantage is that you lose the use of your TiVo for less than an hour. The disadvantage with replacing the drives is that you lose any current recordings.

Cheers. It was the actual changing the HDD that I was worried about as I'm not too sure that if I need the bracket, plus I was planning on keeping the original and adding a second 120gb one.
I had written to Rob ages ago and he gave me some details but his email address no longer seems to work. Anyone know how to contact him?

If you use the backdoor codes to view the logs (see the MFS Tools 2.0 fixes thread for a good description of how to do this), you should see the hard drives being recognised at boot - if you see hda and hdb, you've got two drives. Otherwise you're into chewing gum and duct tape :) If you're later than a 6021, it's very unlikely you're a twin.
You could just order an upgrade A drive - 120Gb is more space than you think (11 pages of High Quality recordings) and the only difficult thing about changing drives is getting the lid off the TiVo!
