Digital Piracy - Moral Decay watch

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: DeckerSyn

Basically an article about a FOX executive moaning & groaning about the moral decay of society. While not specifically mentioning TIVOs or even DVR, I guess we'er included in the moral decay part. Pornography's bad, the internet's bad, yea I guess everyone but FOX. By the way, didn't FOX bring us "Cops Crash Celebrity Weddings but Fall into Shark Tank with an American Idol". No maybe not . . .Yet.

The only reason he thinks that the internet is bad, is because it cuts into viewership. He probably thinks going for a walk on a nice day will lead to moral decay.

What specifically concerns you about this article. The point is that the internet is overwhelmingly corrupt with pornography and that digital piracy is a significant concern for creative artists around the world. This article seems to hit everything right on the button.

I hardly think he even remotely had Tivo in mind as Tivo neither pirates programming nor does it depend on porn for its growth and usage.

How is the internet overwhelmingly corrupt with pr0n? Are all those naked pictures fake? Digital piracy wouldn't be such a concern if they would actually make something of quality so we don't feel like crap and pissed off after wasting 2+ hrs and $30 on some lame movie. Odd that in less than a day LoTR:FoTR was condensed to fit on DVD-5 yet it is still one of the best selling DVD's. I also find it interesting the the fashion world still makes a bundle while rip-off's are still available.

How is the internet corrupt with porn? How is porn itself corrupt?
