Where do i change my access #?

Hi,
i bought my second tivo about 2months ago now. It came pre-loaded with version 1.2, when i first set it up it didnt have a local access # for me dial to, so i used the 800#. my problem is, here it has been 2 months and still version 1.2. I thought maybe if i tried setting it to the new local # that i know they have, cause my other tivo started doing it automatically. Anyway, i went through the whold guided setup again, including setting up my fake satellite (sp?) which as you all know is a pain in the ass, cause i have to delete manually about 500 channels, anyway, it never gave me the option to pick a dial-up # so in turn i wasted my time. Does anyone know where i can go in and change it so hopefully it may 'push' an upgrade through a regular # instead of the 800#.. Hell i dont even know if that is the reason it hasent upgraded, but i called tivo, about a week ago, they were suppose to 'flag' the account so it would upgrade upon the next dial in, well, it has been i would say about 10 times ive made the call, and every time it is successful, but never gets out of Version 1.2. The main reason i care is, well its just a second tivo for conflicts, but when being used in the same room as another tivo, i have to cover the damn IR sensor with a book. Cause version 1.2 doesnt support the remote address setup.. any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks again. like i said the book just looks stupid sitting on top of my tv covering one of the tivo;s IR sensors..
thanks.,

If you go into System Information, what does the Account Status say? It sounds like you may have a unit with a demo status or some such. These units will never upgrade unless you subscribe them.

The phone settings should be in the Phone Setup menus, just go searching. I remember having 1.2 for like a day or none http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Can you make it think its in some other city and then dial that city? Did your machine sleep in some dusty warehouse for quite a while before you bought it?
