Hi, Am about to perform my first hack - adding the turbonet card. Couple questions:
1. Seems that the boot CD referred to in the instructions for the card contains the MFStools ver.1. However, many now prefer the 2.0. How can use 2.0 and still use the boot CD provided with the card?
2. Does MFStools 2.0 perform all the functions of Kazymyr's CD? What purpose does the Kazymyr CD have? It also seems the Kazymer CD has ver.1.
Thanks for any replies!

MFS Tools is primarily for making system backups and (now) adding capacity.
If you're adding a turbonet card, you don't really need to do much other than plug it in, unless you want TivoWeb, etc. If you do, use the turbonet install CD, not Kazymyr's TBD or the MFS Tools 2 CD. Confusing yet? ;)

Well, as I see it now, its purpose was mostly to allow other people do derivative works, and leave future upgraders wonder what it was good for. :D

Don't suppose there's any chance you could do a new boot CD with MFStools 1.1 and 2.0 on? The MFStools 2 CD doesn't do byteswapping apparently. And that's if it boots :)

OK, it's all becoming less muddy now. I just want to make sure that I can add as much functionality to the card as possible. As much of a gadget freak that I am, I can't believe I didn't know this existed! Now, I can even get rid of my landline phone. So, to recap, all I need to do is use the turbonet CD, and this will allow me to add such features as TivoWeb, Telnet, FTP, and extraction to burn DVD's for archiving? Thanks for your help. BTW, I have the one-drive directivo, it matters...

Don't you have to hack the boot PROM on DTiVoes?

Yes, but that's on the Turbonet install CD. :)
