I just upgraded my sat 60 that had one 40gig drive to a unit with 2 new120 gig drives? This is the first upgade I have ever done.Everything went smooth, but when I powered it up it says only 149 hrs. Isn't it suppose to be over 200? The only question I had during the upgrade was at the end of it when it asked :

Question 7: Is your target TiVo > 140GB?
Answer: Add together the full drive size of your new A drive + your new B drive (if applicable) to determine the total drive capacity of your target TiVo and answer y or n accordingly.

I said no because they add up to 240.
Was this wrong?

Thanks for the help

That question only affects the size of your swap partition (if you say yes (which is a good idea anyway), it'll make a bigger swap partition for you). There's no way answering no to that question can affect your upgrade. However, without more swap, your TiVo will be unable to recover from a 'green screen' filesystem corruption error - see the MFS Tools 2.0 fixes thread for a way out if this happens to you.

As this upgrade has failed, I would recommend repeating the upgrade with MFS Tools 2.0 as described in the recently-updated New Hinsdale. Not only will you fix the potential for a green screen loop, you should get a more responsive TiVo too.

Check that Linux is recognising the size of the drives correctly, it could be that one of your drives is being seen as a 30Gb unit. You may have to fiddle with the BIOS settings for that drive's channel.

I'll try 2.0
