where do i find kill_initrd?

I am trying to get the bash prompt over serial on an SVR2000 v2.5. My changes to rc.sysinit get overwritten evertime I reinstall the drive to the Tivo. I keep hearing about kill_initrd but no one says where to get it. PLease help me find it and if possible supply the instructions for using it with Dylan's Boot Disk if possible.
