Networks with Incomplete Guide Data

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

With my parents being new to TiVo, they're setting their first recordings and whatnot. What is happenning is that they are selection "First Run Only" on networks that don't support this feature and getting like 3 recordings of a show. I'd like to provide them with a list of networks that don't support this feature.

I searched around, but didn't find a thread like this anywhere. I'm hoping we can use this thread to identify networks that are lacking, and perhaps even e-mail them asking for support.

With any luck, this list will get shorter, and shorter and shorter... :)

I will update my post with any that folks mention below, so that when other folks search they will be right there in the first post.

Networks with Lacking Guide Data:

Comedy Central
TLC (The Learning Channel)
E!
ESPN
Fox News
SPEED
CNN
CSPAN
CSPAN2
Cartoon Network
TechTV
Game Show Network
CNBC

Thanks go out to aindik, nrc, vman41, Sromkie, ttyler1999, trainman and Bill Milford for their submissions to this list.

It's not that the networks don't support FRO, per se. It's more that they don't accurately distinguish episodes of their series from each other (with a descripton, or otherwise).

E!
ESPN (SportsCenter reruns)
Fox News (O'Reilly Factor reruns)

Cartoon network has problems at times (Transformers Armada).

TechTV is spotty at best...

Game Show Network. If they did have guide data, it would be great for many people's TiVo wishlists, but, alas, no such luck.

CNBC for Kudlow & Kramer repeated twice a day and several times on the weekend and for Wall Street Journal Editorial board repeated several time each weekend.
