Family Affair...the first season pass casulty.

First off I am one of those who is adding a season pass for almost every new show, and will be trimming the fat as I go. Second I will in no way attempt to review the show, because after 5 minutes I had to turn it off. The unneccessary laugh track was quite annoying, the jokes unfunny if there even were any, and the whole premise was quite stupid. Personnally I would have called child services on the sister for abadoning the children and left it at that.

This is why I don't even bother to set up a Season Pass in the first place. I just record the first episode. Watch it. If it sucks, I do nothing. If it rules...it's added.

My Season Pass list is holy. Only the worthy may enter. (Just don't ask about Son of the Beach)

I agree. Here are three inanities in the first five minutes (they're trivial and not plot (hah!) related, so I didn't "spoiler-ize" them (besides, I don't know how to do that :) )):

- As the guy walks in the apartment block, he says he's building a bridge from one place to another. The doorman says something like it's about time. LAUGH TRACK!?!

- As he tries to unlock his front door, the butler opens it. He says he can open his own door. The butler says "but how would it look?" LAUGH TRACK!?!

- His butler says his sister called last week. He wonders why. The butler replies "perhaps to talk to you this week." LAUGH TRACK!?!

I say, "Horse-puckey to that," Thumb Down the show, and delete it.

The phrase "ill-conceived" comes to mind. :D

I do the same (as far as setting up SP's in advance)

Family Affair also was the first to go. Usually I will go at least half way into the show. This one took only 10 minutes.

Oh yeah, this was b-a-d BAD! It's such a shame to see Tim Curry has fallen so far. He's also working on getting as big as Sebastian Cabot. What will happen when this show gets canned and he's still big as a house?

Yeah, I killed this SP right after watching it also... I have to admit, I am one of those people that has to finish something that I start, no matter how much torture it is. I actually sat through the whole thing and of course regret it. It just kept getting worse and worse.

I don't think the show is that bad.

But the laugh track has got to go. The show isn't really a sitcom.

This one I didn't bother with. A remake of a bad show is kind of a bad idea. :)

I won't be wasting my time on that new living with the in-laws show either. I think Sitcoms are dead.
