Saw an add for it:

Starting October 1, Crusade every weekday.

What is Crusade, I have never heard of it.

Spinoff of Babylon 5, following up the movie "A Call to Arms". It showed a lot of promise, but was absolutely ruined by the meddling of the network that owned it (TNT) who wanted nothing more than wrestling and breasts in space.

Just as it was about to get interesting, it was canned. The scripts for the next three unfilled episodes are floating around, two of which would have kicked ass...

HAHAH! "nothing more than wrestling and breasts in space"

Aha! That SP I've had sitting around on my TiVo forever will finally come into use! Maybe this time I'll get it right and now have it keep only the last 4 eps, when they have a marathon.

I want to see all of these already!!

PS. Anyone hear anything about the Legend of the Rangers? I know they made the movie as a test mark for a new show... Did it do well enough?

JMS said that if SciFi owned the property wholly they would have picked it up. Unfortunately they didn't. It's rumoured that he's working on a new project called "Polaris".

I still have Legend of the Rangers on my DTiVo, but I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it because of the poor reviews (both pro and fan). :(

IMHO, you ought to just go ahead and delete it. No sense in using up valuable TiVo space for that dreck. (And, yes, I LOVED Babylon 5).

I'll second that. It wasn't too bad, but it just wasn't B5. I don't know who the Rangers are in this story, but they were definately not the same Rangers that we saw in B5. Those guys had class--Legend of the Rangers Rangers were like rejects from a bad Army flick.

Exact same situation here. Been taking up disc space for a year. Didn't want to delete it, didn't really want to watch it, having heard the reactions and knowing how little came of it.

Guess I'll follow the advice here and give it a decent burial without opening the casket first.

Or youc an do what i do...play it, and triple fast forward through it to just see the SFX. ;P

I agree, Legend sucked. And the weapons system on the ship was totally weird.

Course, B5, ST:TNG, ST-DS9, all got off to slow starts, and all got better with time. Legend might have made the transition to good storytelling, but we'll never know.
