"HBO drew the largest audience in its 30-year history for Sunday night's season premiere of "The Sopranos," a turnout that sent tremors through the television world.

The episode drew an estimated 13.4 million viewers, and was believed to be the first time an HBO telecast drew a larger audience than any of the broadcast networks at the same time."

Too bad it wasn't one of their better episodes....

Yeah I wasn't too impressed. You'd think after a year and a half hiatus they could have come up with sometjing better.

I thought it was a great episode. Plus, they're trying to pull in new fans, too, so it had to take a little time to set things up.

what is truly amazing about this is that HBO is only available on about 1/3 of the TVs nationwide.
