FX isn't showing seasons 5 and 6 of Buffy!! After season 4, they're going to season 1, barely in order, and into season 2, dropping off before "Halloween". I started watching at What's My Line Part 1.

But that's not the worst part! I want to watch seasons 5 and 6 before I watch 7, but they're not showing them! Therefore, I either have to watch season 7 and have no idea what's going on (last resort), or put the season to tape and wait until I can get my hands on seasons 5 and 6. What can I do? Is there anywhere I can get seasons 5 and 6? Would anyone happen to have them on VHS or VCD or something? I'd really like to see them. Or there somewher on the net that I can somehow get them? My desktop has a cable modem, 320 MB RAM, and 40 GB. (266 Mhz, though) Any ideas?

Check your local Fox feed. Mine is showing season 5 and 6 now. Just 1 a week unfortunately.

I knew that I got all excited for nothing... My "Hellmouth" WL finally picked up the series premiere a couple days ago. I proceeded to setup an FX Season Pass - and something just didn't look right. No more 1997 episodes after Halloween!!

Looks like I'm going to have to download all the episode guides for all the seasons and watch the guide data closely for FX and the local Fox affiliate.

Or as all the Buffy fans on this board will surely suggest: get the DVD's!

Ummm....I wouldn't suggest the DVDs if you want to watch seasons 5 and 6 just yet. Season 3 won't be out until Jan. and season 4 will be next summer? That puts season 5 and 6 at around 17 months and 23 months from now. The FX showings will roll around at least once or twice in that time, even if they keep pre-empting it for movies. Now when the DVDs do come out, sure buy them. But that won't help you now for the recent seasons.

Basically, you're left with two choices.....tape season 7 and save them to watch later until after you catch up with seasons 5 and 6 eventually....
OR
If you have broadband, d/l the episodes and watch them that way. Then buy the DVDs when they come out.

Note that REGION 2 will release season 5 on DVD in October (they are way ahead of REGION 1).

BTW...just read that the release date for SEASON 3 DVDs in REGION 1 will be:

January 7, 2003.
