anyone know if you can still buy a tivo and at what price from dixons or currys, my mate got his tivo from dixons for Ł199 at easter , went to my local dixons and they said they dont stock them ?

A few days ago Dixons in my local High Street in Camden had a TiVo in a large display with the promotional video running on at least 6 TVs. Ł199.

Either they are doing selective promotions, or the local manager has one. :D

I checked out my local Comet (Basildon) and they said they had plenty in stock at Ł199

I bought one from the Canterbury Comet the other day for Ł199 (although I had to first convince the guy serving that I didn't want a Sky+ box :-).

they do have them in. I bought one last month only after they got one in for me. I was told when they got mine that they just had a delivery of 500 to the main warehouse in London.
