After installing TurboNET Card, my TiVo sometimes shuts off

Hello all,
I recently bought a TurboNET card for my TiVo Series 1 box (30 Hour Phillips model). Installation went fine, and I had no trouble setting it up in my Linux box to DHCP. TiVo is fetching service updates over the LAN now just fine.
However, there have been two occasions in the 1 1/2 months since I installed the card that I've discovered my TiVo was actually Off - IE: No lights active on the front and no response to the control, nor display on the screen. The only way I can get it back on is to unplug it and plug it back in. I know this isn't caused by a power failure as the TiVo is attached to a UPS device, which reported no interruption.
This has happened twice so far - once a few days after installing the card, and just over a month later (today). Both times I found the following things:
*The last show the TiVo was recording was 95% complete or so. (IE: 27 Minutes instead of the full 30).
*That same show was also not what it was supposed to have recorded. IE: The listing in Now Playing is correct, and it was recorded at the correct time, but the channel change failed to occur. It recorded from the last channel it was on rather than the correct channel.
*The Phone status message tells me that the last update failed for unknown reasons. In both cases the time of the machine's shutdown is exactly the same time as it tried to initiate a service call.
This is leading me to believe there's some slight bug in TiVo v3's network drivers, but I wanted to see if anyone else if having a similar problem. Any input is appreciated =)

I have noticed similar problems. I too installed a turbonet card several months ago. I think I have had the tivo get stuck at least 3 times maybe 4. When mine gets stuck the lights are off, the remote doesn't work, but I can still see an output on the tv.
I haven't paid as much attention as you did as to what happened leading up to the failure. The strange thing is mine did it today. I looked at my last call attempt and it had failed. I don't know what time I rebooted it so I don't know if that matches the call time.
Anyone else experiencing anything similar?

I don't think it's a TurboNET card problem. The following is a thread I started on this problem back on 06/07/02.

At that point, I was using the 1-800 number to dial in. I didn't get my TurboNET card until 07/09/02. The common theme in these problems seems to be version 3.0 and a "Failed: Unknown Errror" with the daily call (dial-up or internet).
