I have a Philips Sa with 1 maxtor 80 gig in it. I bless a wd 120 gig and
install it. Blue Screen , Gray Screen, Death Screen. After 3 hrs nothing happen. Is 200 gig the problem? Now 80 gig goes into endless boot loop.
Blue Screen, Gray Screen, etc. Any fixes? Thanks in advance. Toyman

BlessTiVo only works on UNMODIFIED, lone A drives. As you've discoverd, it blows up horribly if you have extra MFS partitions on your A drive. There's no way back from there, you'll have to restore from backup.

Use MFS Tools 2.0 as described in New Hinsdale. As you're going up to 200Gb it's advisable to increase swap (-s 127).

I was wondering if there is any way to salvage the shows or setitngs off the now dead A drive. I used an 80 gig A and then blessed a new 80 for B and found out the hard way that this does not work. I am now using my original HD for the time being. Thanks

No. You need a working drive set to get an MFS Tools backup.
