Kazymyr EXT-fs error... Help!
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I'm trying to use the Kazymyr boot cd to upgrade my tivo. When I try to run the mad utilties, I get a mount failure (it's complaining that "/mnt/tivo" does not exist).
So... if I change into the /mnt directory and try to get a directory listing through ls, I receive and ext2-fs error - "bad entry in directory".
Makes sense why it can't find the directory to mount under... so I need to try to solve this problem.
I've downloaded the image twice from two different locations, tried multiple burns, and tried booting and using on two different PCs, and I get the same problem. Any ideas?
Thanks!

It's better to use MFS Tools 2.0 instead of TiVoMad. Follow the instructions in New Hinsdale.
Have you tried mounting directly on /mnt instead of creating the tivo subdirectory?

There is no /mnt/tivo until you create it.
But Robert is right, if you want to upgrade, go with MFS Tools 2.

thanks for the suggestions - I just completed the upgrade with MFS tools 2.0 - quick and painless.
