Quick question...
Just to make sure I am reading things correctly........
If I only want to add a new 80gig HD to my existing StandAlone Tivo original A drive I only need to BlessTivo the 80gig and add the new Drive as a Slave? I shouldnt have to do anything to the original drive?
Help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris

I recommend making the new drive your A drive. Do an MFS Tools backup of the A drive and restore this to the new drive. If you want to keep your recordings do a pipe transfer (details on request, although it is in Hinsdale) to the new drive. Use MFS Tools 2.0 as described in New Hinsdale (see his post at top of this Forum).
This is much safer as you can be sure your new drive is working before you 'take the plunge' and add your old A drive as a B drive with mfsadd (not BlessTiVo).
BlessTiVo does work exactly as you describe and will get you a working TiVo.
If you decide to add your new drive as a B drive, your TiVo will be faster if you use mfsadd (part of MFS Tools 2.0) instead of BlessTiVo. You do have to remove the A drive to use mfsadd, but this gives you the opportunity to make an MFS Tools backup of your A drive, which is a good thing to have.
