audio problem

I just noticed a problem and I'm not sure if it's related to a hard disk upgrade I did a few days ago. After starting playback of a Star Trek TNG episode I noticed the audio sped up during the opening credits a few times for a half second or so each time. Video appeared to be normal. I thought it was probably the feed so I replayed the segment but all was OK the second time through. Has anyone seen something like this? Everything else seems perfectly normal.
