I haven't been able to find this and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to install a TurboNet card and according to the instructions I need to run the flash program first (turboflash/install?).

The process starts off well and says that my inactive kernel is hdX6 and my inactive root is hdX7 and then asks me if it's okay to continue. I say yes and the following is displayed:

64+0 records out
Creating root partition...
dd: writing '/dev/hdX7': no space left on device

29+3002 records in
29+3001 records out

gzip: stdin: invalid compression data - crc error

It then throws me back to a # prompt. I'm pretty sure that after the dd error that everything past this point is not going to be very helpful or valid since it's most likely errors on top of errors.

I took a look at my partitions and hdX6 is 2MB in size and hdX7 is 128MB in size. I've tried this on both my upgraded A drive and my original A drive with the same results.

I also mounted the active and inactive root partitions and everything looks right. Is it possible to just manually modify the spare root and then set it to active?

Here's the background info on equipment, etc.:
D-Tivo v2.5.x
Single Drive Setup
No issues with getting larger A drive installed and working.
Using ISO file with 20020728 date

Hey Everyone,

Turned out to be a corrupt CD or CD Image. I re-downloaded the ISO file, re-made the CD from it and didn't have any more problems.

I have dual drive Philips DSR6000, my software verson on my dual drive Philips DSR6000 is
Software Version 2.5.2-01-1-00 My A drive (master is 30gig) Bdrive is 15 gig.

ERROR: Failed to create root partition.
ERROR: The exit code was 1.
ERROR: Cannot continue.

It then throws me back to a # prompt

new to tivo and linux----Help
