Torx with pin?

I've read the Hinsdale instructions and bought #10 and #15 Torx screwdrivers as part of the upgrade process. I was just getting ready to open my Series 2 Tivo to put in an 80gb drive B, when I saw that the screws holding the case on have a pin in the middle. A brief bit of Googling reveals that some Torx screws have a tamperproof pin in the middle. The screwdrivers have no socket into which the pin can fit. Has anyone else encountered this situation? How do I get the case open now?

Oops. Stupid me. I was trying to open the case on the digital cable box, not the Tivo. I don't begrudge Time Warner their security Torx. Back to work.

Just in case you want to take your cable box apart you can find security torx bits pretty easily. Here is one place:

Don't worry. When I tried my upgrade, I kept trying to figure out why the kernel didn't find my two drives. After pluging the Y power cable into an actual power source, it worked much better. Everyone gets 5 minutes to be stupid every day. :)

Hammer + good hard driver = no more pin.

This is also known as the "brute force" approach to bypassing security. :D
