So far, I'm not impressed with this new season...especially with Christa Miller's replacement (she's been removed from the bios page on ABC.com), Cynthia Watros. And what's with the new opening sequence each week? Don't they know that we just fast-forward through that stuff anyway?;)

Kate's gone, show's over.

I gave up on this show last season. I started recording it from the beginning, but only watched a few. For possibly one good laugh per episode (if at all), it wasn't SP worthy. This show has been in the Chachie loves Joanie phase for a while now.

I hadn't heard they were replacing kate. I've missed one episode because of a MNF pregame show, but the episodes I've seen have made me laugh.

The show was not good last year. And I read somewhere that ABC is trying to get out of current contract for the show.

Coincidently I'm watching Monday's Drew Carey for a second time right now.
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)

boy they're really bad at saving the hostage

This is the show's last season.

Thus why he plan's to get married by May.

I do miss Kate, I really don't like the when they replace a character who does work just to mix things up. But I liked Cynthia Watros when she was on Titus. I don't think she will work here.

I like the opening sequence. It is going to be guest singers sometimes redoing the intro's.

They must of put her back on, because I found her info.

Um...Cythia Watros being on the site was never questioned. Christa Miller's been taken off (the show, and "bio-wise" on their site).

I have rather enjoyed a few of the episodes this season. They have just gotten outlandish. This weeks episode was extremely funny.

Follow that up with a great episode of Whose Line with special guest Florence Henderson and It was agreat hour of laughs

Plus it's much easier for me to ctach these shows on Monday than Wed and Thurs

Your right this show is not the same with out Kate

note: i can't find the pic of homer jumping the shark

I also think that this is Drew's last year. The ratings have been falling and ABC scheduled it on Monday night arould MNF. That's a timeslot that's hard on ABC shows.
Oh and Christa Miller left on her own accord. I suspect that we will be seeing her show up more on Scrubs (on which her husband is the executive producer)
So the real question is, who will Drew be marrying in May? Kelly or will Kate come back in the finale?

Too many changes this year for my tastes. I agree, I don't like Kate being gone. Guess she enjoyed a bit part on "Scrubs" more.

Strangely enough, it seems to be the first show my wife chooses off the bedroom Tivo lately. I have to admit, I like the "semi-retro" opening credits, though. I haven't watched this week's yet. I'm anxious to find out which song they used. :)

I had read they were going back to the basics of the first 2 seasons. So far though, it’s the same dumb stuff as the last few seasons. Also Here in S. Florida they air it Sunday late night since my local station airs a sports show at that time. I just let my TIVO find it, but if it stays this way I will delete the SP on it like I did for Twilight Zone last week.

I missed the 2nd show. What's with the new office set? Did Winfred Lauder go into a new line of business?

Posted by: Maui

They closed and the business has been taken over by a Amazon.com like wannabe ran by two young guys

Mimi is the office manager
Drew has a position where he doesn't know what he does
Mr. Wick is a janitor

Well, I agree that the show's not what it used to be, but it has provided me with some laughs so far.

As far as the opening sequence goes, it is the best part of the show IMO. I fast-forward through the opening sequence of other shows, but not this one (or the simpsons). The country version they played this past week was excellent.

I have yet to see any ep this season. They've been going downhill the last few yrs...

Anyone else miss "Moon over Parma" as the theme??

Nope, I always preferred "Five O'Clock" World but "Cleveland Rocks" is pretty good too....

(far better than "Faith of the Heart")

SOMEBODY screwed up this week's program description...they must not have got the memo that Christa Miller has left the show!
quote:
"Hickory Dickory...Double Date" Comedy, Situation (2002) Drew Carey, Diedrich Bader, Christa Miller, Kathy Kinney. Drew asks Kate to double-date with him while he searches for a bride. (CC, Stereo)
(The new girl's name is "Kelly"...)

Each shows intro was different. Not really sure who this week's show was a spoof of but I wouldn't be surprised if it was "Mannix". That was the best part of this episode.

Posted by: c3po33

Last weeks show was a little better, I'll give it a few more episodes before a delete my SP.

I missed it. Considering I just moved out of the Parma that song talks about :)
