The Shield - PLEASE! Need synopsis of last 20min of finale!

I only just discovered the Shield during the marathon that FX just aired (Comcast didn't have FX before). I am so hooked on that show! But of all the freaking things to happen, the finale was delayed 20 minutes!!! I missed the ending of the season! :(

Please can someone put in here what happend during that ending? Where the Tivo left off was that David met with Gilroy's girlfriend and got the dirt on Gilroy. He calls Vic over and tells Vic that Gilroy's implicating him in the murder of the witness that saw Gilroy run down that drug dealer. Vic insists that Gilroy was the one that killed the kid and he was just covering it up. David has a search warrant for Vic's house (which Gilroy was just at yesterday, so you know he planted evidence). All of a sudden, Vic gets a phone call, starts writing something down... and the recording ended.

What happens with Giroy and Vic? Do they catch the other cop killers? (I imagine they do.) What about Julian who's trying to pray himself straight? What happens to Vic's family?

Please, let us know. Another viewer on this forum is in the same boat I am.

--edit--
Also, it's really weird. I did a search on the show to see if it would be reaired at a different time, but nothing came up. I mean, the show isn't listed anymore in Tivo's guide. I start typing in the name to do a search, shows are listed along the right-hand column, but The Shield isn't there... not as "The Shield", or "Shield, The"! I'm sure I've seen shows before that didn't have any upcoming episodes, but the final episode of the season just ended last night, and now it's not even showing up in the guide to do searches. Is that happening for anyone else? Isn't that weird?

I wish I could help you, but I just found out that the mpeg I made of the last show stops at 19:47... Bummer.

The good news is, Season 1 is coming to DVD! It will be released Jan. 7th, the same day season 2 premieres.

There's got to be some fan sites around somewhere that have episode descriptions, when I find one, I'll let you know.

It's been awhile, but Gilroy was taken down and Vic's wife took the kids and left him.

I hear you, i didnt catch the inital buzz of this show, so i recorded every repeat and watched them all within two days. LUCKILY i was at home while the finale was recording so i noticed it would run out, so i set another manual recording for another half hour. the best show on tv i have seen in a long time, cant wait for season 2.

Bob- yeah, the same thing happened to me. I'm afraid this is par for the course when you're dealing with FX. They really don't seem to respect their schedule at all. I've also missed Buffy episodes on FX, because the guide data doesn't match what episodes they actually show.

The good news? I'm sure FX will re-run the first season before season 2 begins.

So, what happened? It was said that Gilroy was taken down and Vic's wife left him (no surprise there!). Were there any other details that we missed?

BTW Zak, I'm definitely getting the DVD when it's released. It's definitely a great show! I can't believe how quickly it turned into one of my favorites. And historically, I don't get into crime dramas. This one just really grabs me though!

Yeah... I kept seeing the commercials for "Rampart" (before the name change) and then for "The Shield" while I was watching Buffy repeats on FX. I didn't record until episode 3 and was hooked! Very good show!

Richard...

It's funny. I have no idea why i decided to get a season pass for The Shield before it started airing....

I guess maybe the buzz was pretty good.
