Did anyone have this problem? Alias did not record tonight! It is number ONE in my priority list, and nothing taped in place of it. The TV was OFF the entire time, and no one was here. Is my TiVo just breaking down on me?

Did you read your recording history to why it didn't record?

I missed the second half of the season premeire last week. They had the Vikings/Seahawks game on and it ran late. So, I have no idea how they found Vaugn(sp).

I still have mine, if you need a copy I guess.

Did you turn your cable box off?

Anyone notice that the scenes where Syd goes to her Mom's cell looked so much like Clarice Starling going to visit Lechter in SotL......

I got a kick out out of how Sid got into the building to see her mom. Pass Homeless person, give quarter, go to call box. ROFL.
I wonder if that is how the other employess get into the building, must be a line at that call box at 8 am

I immediately thought the same thing. I thought the show was going to make some sort of reference to it, just to acknowledge the fact that they were ripping them off, or paying homage, as the case may be.

My guess would be homage. Can't forget the McTiernan homage last year.

I imagine that it's a military installation, and the personnel (at least a good majority of them) probably have quarters on base, and very limited leave privileges.
The only problem with this theory, and the biggest flaw I saw with this? WHAT the HECK was that police officer doing there??? This looked for all the world like a military installation - why did they not have MP's instead of a city police officer? It's as if they deliberately had the police officer there to inspire comparisons to SOTL.
That notwithstanding, I loved the entry procedure... if you're ever in Milwaukee, ask some of the long time residents to take you to The Safe House. I won't give any of the secrets away, but it's a restaurant/bar that this immediately reminded of.
On the whole, this weeks episode was a lot more even than last week's episode... I like it.

Fun Southern California trivia: The park and the freeway overpass where those "Syd gives a quarter to the homeless guy and uses the call box" scenes were filmed are within sight of ABC's high-rise office building in Burbank. I kind of picture, while they were filming those scenes, word getting around the building and a bunch of ABC employees standing at the windows to watch Jennifer Garner running around in a sports bra.

Because some of you seem confused, i will remind you that she was going to a CIA facility to see her mom. She can't be seen hanging out with the CIA, SD6 is watching her all the time. So, she had to be let in the back door.
Did anybody notice the sexy saunter Syd was doing when she was walking around in the CIA? She looked like she owned the place.
Honestly, Jennifer Garner could own anything I have. All she would have to do is ask. 1. because she is a godess and 2. because she could seriously kick my ass.

Interesting how Sydney has so much free time that she can do missions for the CIA without SD-6 noticing that she's not around for a few days.
The only reason I'll be going to the Daredevil movie next year is to see Jennifer as Elektra, dressed in black leather. That more than makes up for Ben Affleck as DD.

Ack! Ben Affleck as DD?!?!?!
That sucks.

Lena Olin is simply gorgeous. :)

That she is. Ever see The Unbearable Lightness of Being, with her, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Juliette Binoche?
Am I the only one who thinks there's a more than passing resemblance between Lena and Jennifer?

I noticed that Ken Olin is heavly involved in Alias, and has directed a number of its episodes. However, according to the Internet Movie Database, they are not related.

Ken Olin is the husband of the Alias CIA shrink (Patricia Wettig). They were both on the 'thirtysomething' show several years back.

Apparently the CIA has no other agents that can follow up on Sydney's leads from SD-6. They are thereby forced to risk their sensitively placed double agent every week. Makes perfect sense to me. (not)

Did anybody else kind of do a few FF's during the shrink sessions. I think i've seen enough shrinks on TV lately.
