-Maybe it's that I have no info on the tivo but it appears to run A LOT faster then my old one.
-Setting up was under 10 minutes with a usb ethernet connection and dial prefix I found on these boards #410 or 401 something like that
-I just noticed it has no sticker on the back, how does tivo know if you opened it and voided the tivo?
-Messages and setup screen is blue, I don't care but it's a change

Best quality=24 hrs, 7 min
High quality=38 hrs, 58 min
Medium Quality=51 hrs, 34 min
Basic Quality=87 hrs, 3 minutes

-Longer tivo remote with 1-2 dvr thing under slow mo. I have no idea what that's for so if someone could inform me that would be great.
-Bumb on TV Power button (to help you find it in the dark)
- Only one yellow/white/red connection. I have a set up that requires 2 at minimum and I now need to go over to radio shack and get one.
-I'll pick one up where the audio can seperate from the video which is a plus.
-I can't see the red/green lights from my usual layed back position yet I guess it means my tivo's getting smaller or I'm getting fatter.
-I noticed tivoweb and never had a connection to a cable modem via tivo before. Can I now use tivoweb or would I have to hack?
-New box look, new instructions, panasonic battery's (I'll end up replacing them by next week so it doesn't matter)
-Window button is probably there for future use
-Smaller thumbs up/down buttons yet who cares
-Programable tv input button which is good for when I want to watch tv while tivo records
-Fan does not sound loud at all. I turned off everything in my room and you can barley hear the tivo.

Overall it's a solid tivo and I'm glad I upgraded. Too many times when I come home and see my tivo has deleted a show I want to watch. If anyone has any new series2 can do that I haven't stumbled upon let me know. Thank you.

The DVR 1-2 switch lets you control two TiVo's in the same room with one remote, by numbering them #1 and #2 in setup.

The only thing I don't get about the TV Input button is that you will still need a TV remote to change channels watching the TV tuner, so it's not terribly helpful. I guess it does help if you want to just switch between the two.

It's so you can use one remote to control two TiVos.

It only has one set of RCA outputs? Or do you mean it came with only one set of cables?

I think it was designed to accompany the 1/2 switch. That way you could not only switch between TiVos on the remote, but also on the TV, provided you have a TV with multiple inputs.

I was wondering the same thing. I just got a 60hr Series 2 that I would love to throw another hard drive in. If that involved voiding the warranty though I'll just wait until it runs out.

Only came with one set of cables. I need minimum 2 yet will work with it using one for now.

You're not dreaming it's much faster.

I like the input change button because then when I switch from playing a video game to the tivo I don't have to use the TV remote.
I liked the length of the original remote better but it's nice to have the extra buttons.

Hmm.. My Series2 Tivo always seemed slower then my old Phillips...

Maybe it has something to do with the drive upgrade... (140 hours)

Coming with fewer cables was the only thing that bothered me about our Series 2 (60 hr) when we first put it in three months ago. No S-Video cable at all and only one L/R/V RCA cable.

Guess they're saving a couple bucks giving less cable and such.

Love the new remote. Only thing I'd add there is a Audio power button in addition to the TV power button. Or a single learning button would be great.
