Sydney Bristow #1 in my book.... Alias rocks

Just gotta take a second and say this is definitely my new favorite TV show.

I got into Alias last season, and became a big fan then. This year has not disappointed me. (The first episode was a little confusing and hard to follow, but episode two was back to form!).

I like The Soprano's, and several other shows, but at this point, the show I'd be most upset about missing in a given week is definitely Alias. Heaven help my local station if they pre-empt it for some reason and don't make it up to me somehow.

Gonna be so looking forward to DVDs of this series when they are available!

I picked up on Alias late last season as well and fell for it right away :)

How long has it been on? I was fortunate to catch a "flashback" espisode last season that filled in alot of the questions I had.

The show originally premiered last year, so you've missed 'season one', but it repeated on ABC Family channel last year and over the summer on ABC.

If you put in a wish list for it, you may find earlier episodes of it on ABC Family.

The first year was pretty good, and it does set up a little of the second year, but as you point out, they did a lot of flash backs in the season premiere for year 2, and have also repeated a lot of the same information in the show's intro.

It's not tough to get into, and Jennifer Garner is certainly easy on the eyes :D

I've seen every episode of Alias and agree that it's a great show.

I really like Sydney's mom. She hasn't said but maybe 5 lines in 2 episodes, but she's quite a badass. She has an amazing presence. And I can see where Syd gets her killer looks.

Is it just me or does J Garner look much better with any number of wigs that she wears on the show, than with her real hair?

It's not just you, although I think the outfits she tends to wear with those wigs help a lot, too. Like the blue wig and "going clubbing in Asia" outfit in the Season 1 finale/Season 2 premiere...wow.

Absolutely. I rate JG as "cute" under normal circumstances. But when she gets dressed up in her little (and they are!) disguises, well,

Probably in the wrong thread..
but.. am I the only one who thinks that Vaughn isn't really Vaughn?
I mean, in the first episode, they show the doctor cutting the face of a guy lying next to Vaughn.
And with Sydney's mom in the CIA...
hmm.. just makes me wonder.. but I guess thats why the show's so good! keeps people wondering!

Agree... that one and the parachute outfit in Season 1.

That club scene makes me laugh. When Vaughn pushes the one guy off of Sydney... you see Jennifer (or Sydney?) trying, unsuccessfully, to hold back laughter. I still wonder if that scene was a bit ad-lib...and Jennifer was just surprised in how it turned out.

Y'know I didn't think so at first because there was no evidence that they'd gotten around to surgery on Vaughn. One would think that recent brain surgery might leave a noticable scar. On the other hand, that episode seems pretty stupid in retrospect if things don't turn out that way.

Please put spoilers in tags.

Strange that Ken Olin (exec producer, director, actor McNeil) and Lena Olin (mom) are not related. I thought they might be.

Next week's Alias guest stars:

I'd like to see ABC Family rerun all 22 (instead of the last 9) of the first season again. I hope they are released on DVD soon. I have to agree that this is the show I would miss the most if I I couldn't watch. Second would be CSI: LV.
