Does anyone know of an Alias DVD set coming out soon, or even a season 1 marathon with all episodes chronologically? I came into season one mid-season, and caught sum re-runs out of order, but I'd like to know if there are any plans for either of these things mentioned.

No announced date for DVD yet. ABCFamily ran the entire season in a marathon a couple of months back. I don't know of any plans to do it again.
Sorry for the bad news. :(

That would be sweet, but hardly anybody (besides Fox with 24) is putting out ongoing shows on DVD before syndication begins.

Let's hope 24 is a raging success and the studios start thinking of DVDs as marketing tools for their ongoing series!

The Queer As Folk season 1 box set was in stores to coincide with the season 2 premiere.

Sopranos does. Sex & The City does. But those shows don't get syndicated due to content.

24 on DVD makes sense b/c of the show format.

Season 1 of The Shield is apparently going to be on DVD. Again, content would make it hard to syndicate.

Can't imagine Alias coming out on DVD, at least not until/if it gets to syndication.

You have to also remember that Disney was the last of the majors to use the DVD format.

It isn't clear that putting out a DVD would bring new viewers to the program (which to me would be the only point in bringing a broadcast show to DVD before syndication).

In the new book "Alias Companion" there is a DVD attached. But the book is really a synopsis kind of thing so I didn't buy it. I can't imagine too much of value being on there. I would, if I were producing a season set, would want to keep as much material for the set as possible.

Also, fyi, the Alias Recruited book that just came out is being marketed to be stacked with the "young adult" section. It's a real shorty book, and thus, again, I did not pick it up.....
