Push, Nevada: Cancelled!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: grecorj

See zap2it article for details.

Also, "That Was Then" has been put on hiatus.

The article also updates a few other series which have been given full season go-aheads (Life With Bonnie, 8 Simple Rules...).

Zap2it says "That Was Then" is on "hiatus", but the New York Post says "cancelled".

Further reading of the Zap2it article, and we find that by "hiatus", ABC just means that they will air the remaining 6 episodes at some later date. If they don't shoot any more episodes, that sure sounds like "cancelled" to me =)

the show had promise, but a very bad timeslot for non-Tivo viewing measurements.

Oh well......the network execs strike again...!!

Posted by: laria

Victim of one of the worst time slots ever. :( Now we will never find out what was going on in Push!

No loss here from my perspective.
It was a hack job done by wannabe David Lynch immitators.

And I just deleted my Push NV SP last night, after not having watched last week's episode, and realizing I couldn't care less.

Posted by: JYoung

well, I guess I can delete those episodes that I didn't watch.....

Posted by: harvscar

I never felt the pull of Push.

Posted by: innocentfreak

Tried Push and was disappointed but I liked That was Then.

Posted by: Sromkie

Argh! I didn't even get a chance to watch the first episode of "that was then" yet. I guess there is no point in getting in to it now... might as well delete... I'll wait to make sure that ABC says cancelled too though.

As for Push, I never even bothered to record it... seemed like too much effort to have to find all those clues and such.

I cancelled Push half way through the 2nd episode...I knew ABC would do the same soon enough.

so does the prize money not get awarded? lawsuit? :)

Posted by: Trent Bates

I was getting tired of Push, but was really getting hooked on That Was Then. I kind of liked Do Over as well but TWT had a more grown up quality to it that I enjoyed!

Posted by: DLiquid

I cancelled my Push SP last week. If it had a better timeslot, I might have given it a little longer.

Yeah, what happens to the Game and the money?

Never mind, I found it:

If for any reason the Game, or any portion thereof, is not capable of running as planned, including without limitation, as a result of Program cancellation or ..., Producer will review the situation on a case-by-case basis and take appropriate action in its sole discretion to preserve the integrity of the Program and the Game. Such action may include, in Producer's sole discretion, cancellation, ...

[edited to add info from Game rules]

i read that they are going to broadcast 3 more episodes (including tonight's), and that they will ensure there are enough clues in them to allow viewers to claim the prize.

I never watched Push, but the part of the article that interests me is having Drew Carey move to Friday at 9 in November. This will conflict with John Doe. It will also leave me with nothing to watch on Monday.

I'm actually sad to see this show go. It really had an awful timeslot, and that's why I see the show going down. The plot is really starting to get interesting and I was hoping to follow through the end. At least it sounds like they are going to try and "close" the storyline in the last 2 episodes the best they can.

Posted by: martinp13

Oct 24 will be the seventh and final episode... revised rules for the game will be posted at ABC.com "soon".

I'm all for George Lopez' wife getting picked up....errr, his show getting picked up, but how the hell did Bonnie get picked up???

I was looking forward to "That Was Then" -- watched the first episode and was aghast at how incredibly BAD it was. What a total mess. The similarly-themed comedy "Do Over" was actually more amusing... which surprised me. It's still on the SP list ("under consideration",) whereas "That Was Then" was deleted quickly and with great fervor.

I liked Push. Thought it was the best suspense type show on TV. This stinks

Posted by: Haps

Push? What?? Never heard of it. Neither did the rest of America.

Posted by: vertigo235

Glad I never wasted my time on it then...............

Posted by: joeinma

I watched 5 minutes of Push, Nevada and told my wife that I wanted to go to Vegas and bet the house on this being the first show of the season canceled. Too bad I never got there!

Posted by: DanT

The timeslot had nothing to do with my cancelling the SP a couple days ago. I actually gave up on Will & Grace a year or two ago, and never liked CSI one bit. I can't even tell you what else is on at that time, but whatever it is, I'm not interested. But Push was just not interesting beyond the first episode.

I agree. I saw the previews for both shows and was really thinking that TWT would be a much better show than DO. We saw DO first and thought it was pretty good, which really got me psyched for TWT, and boy was I disappointed. I was considering giving it a second chance, but I don't think there is any point now.

Interesting - anyone enter the Zap2It "Dead Pool" contest? I understand they were giving away a series II TiVo for the winner... (Yes, it's too late to enter.) Info on the contest is available at http://tv.zap2it.com/shows/02-03/fa...ture.html?27883 .

I'm also amused at how far off Paul Goebel, the self-proclaimed "King of TV" and the TV Geek from "Beat the Geeks" was at predicting... he picked UPN pretty much all the way, pegging The Twilight Zone as being the first show and first drama to be cancelled and UPN to be the first network to cancel a show.

Yep, I voted for Life With Bonnie to be the first show canceled. :( Although I did vote for That Was Then to be the first show to be put on hiatus, so I've got one right so far.:)

WTF!!?? This is one of the best shows on TV! Far better than CSI, which keeps recycling the same story over and over again. They should just move the show to a better time slot.

Next thing you know they'll be canceling Alias and The West Wing. Sheesh.
