Guns of World War II on the History Channel

Does anyone know for sure whether or not this mini-series is merely a re-titling of part of the History Channel's earlier "Tales of the Gun" series? I went through the first 15 minutes of the first show and it seems like it.

The History Channel loves ot cut up Tales of the Gun episodes and create new shows and re-title them as Modern Marvels (then and now). They still show Tales of the Gun occasionally though. There is a Tales of the Gun episode called Guns of WWII so it is a safe bet that this is such a beast.

I skimmed through the some of the US and Japanese guns episodes. They appeared to be just re-titled (and re-dated) episodes of Tales of the Gun. Stopped the rest from recording and deleted them. I wouldn't mind the re-titling: it's just the re-dating that kills me. I have an FRO ARWL for the History genre and it keeps picking old things up that I've seen before under different names. Modern Marvels is a good example. Another is some of the stuff on the various Discovery channels: I got an "Air Giants" the other day that looked like it was a re-titled/re-dated 1970's era Air Force Now film on the C-130.
