If I read it right, MS/HP's new Media Center and Sony's Vaio systems both allow DVD recording of anything on analog TV to DVD media that can be played on any DVD player. I wonder if recordings are made real-time, or if you have to record to hard drive, and then record at a slower speed to DVD? Still won't record digital TV source directly, however.
