Our 15 month old loves the TiVo-0 startup animation so much that we decided she should be TiVo for Halloween!
Follow the thumbnail links from this page to see pictures from her visit to my work (Oct 30th, 2002)...

(I've updated the URL 10/2003 -dllewel).
I think she looks great! :D
Happy Halloween everyone!

Very cute. :)
So where do you work that takes TiVo so seriously?

Yes, that is what I want to know also! TiVo at work... that would be cool!
Cute picture... I am sure she will be a hit with the neighbors!

That's more scary then any costume I've seen in my town.

Cute.
But I am having trouble with your website.
Posted by: dllewel
I work for Associated Food Stores (http://www.afstores.com) where we are a wholesaler of groceries to independent grocers. Not exactly related to TiVo but we try every day to work TiVo into our jobs somehow.
It all started with Jeff (aka on the forum as gatorbait), who's mission is to convert everyone at the office and everywhere else to TiVo. He is the one pictured with us in the 2nd photo, and has managed to bring about half of our Information Services department, some managers, VP's, our company's CEO, and many others to the TiVolution. We do failed drive replacements and upgrades during lunch at the office, and even keep a mini TV and TiVo remote here for the purpose.
I'm sure there are others that get into TiVo more than us, but we do love it and besides it was a good catch phrase ;)
David.

Sorry, my web server is not meant for so many simultaneous connections. I have made attempts to improve it, but if you are having trouble please give it another try later.

she's very cute!

Awwwwwwwwww. How cute.

That's adorable! Everyone at TiVo agrees. :)
That's probably why the website was less than responsive a bit earlier. ;)
Sorry! We've stopped...
Happy Halloween!
Cheers,
Pony

Ok, too late for this year...

Probably look something like this...

I don't know why, but this reminded me of this great comic strip I saw this morning:

wild_one - Your right, I'll keep on the look out for Replay, Dishplayer, or UltimateTV. But c'mon, they aren't worthy of a halloween costume so I doubt we'll have any trouble. But incase we do, I'll let you know how it goes :)
badcrc - that pic you made is great. It got us laughing
walters - great comic! I loved it. I will print that one out and put it on the bulletin board.

Glad you liked it :). I was worried you might get annoyed, but I couldn't resist.

... and my wife thought I was geeky because I wanted to carve a TiVo in my pumpkin!
Posted by: wa2joc
She's a cutie. Great job.

Hey !! I signed up for the beta. How come they didn't send me a little girl in a tivo costume :(
She looks great ! Next year you can mix and match. You can be a directivo and she can be a series 2 SA
Posted by: JoeltheTiVoFan
But it got me to wondering...
...is the TiVo mascot named "TiVo" or something else? I've never seen an answer to that (or a question, for that matter...) I think we all assume it's "TiVo" - but is it?
...if she isn't eligable to be a "TiVo star subscriber" - http://www.tivo.com/4.3.2.asp - I don't know WHO is! :)

I have noticed quite a few hits from my daughters TiVo costume last year (more than I would have guessed). They were erroring out due to the fact that I had changed the page name since then. I have updated the URL so that it works and it shouldn't be changing again.
it's http://www.ravenmanor.com/tivo.html
Happy Halloween everyone!

Ok.. That is absoultely way too cute.
Posted by: tomo_kun
Thats probobly the CUTEST thing i have ever seen, geek related. but prolly the scarryest thing if there where a ton of grown kids in my neighborhood dressed like that. *doorbell* "trick or treat" says the kids. i look oddly. "HERE JUST TAKE MY DIRECTIVO!!"

Very cute !
Posted by: Fustanella
Hey, I want one of those windshield-screens...
Posted by: dllewel
Fustanella, My co-workers TiVo winsheild screen was too small to fit his window, but it makes a great wall poster. It looks like they are still available at the TiVo store under Gifts for $19.99.

Your daughter is *WAY* too cute!! Makes me want to make a costume of the remote for my son, just to hear people ask "Hey, what does the Window button do?"
Posted by: dllewel
Good one Larry! (BTW- what does the window button do? :) )
Posted by: Fustanella
Ex-cellent. Thanks!

redheadboy,
I also signed up for beta testing but if they send you a kid, I would be very upset. The kid is adorable and the costume is cute but only if I can give them back to their parents.
Posted by: dllewel
There are definitely those days where you wish you could send them back, just for a little while but of coarse we never would. That's the time we plan a date night and schedule a sitter. I think they like our house because we have TiVo! :)
Probably time to schedule one of these as my Halloween project (http://ravenmanor.com) cuts into a lot of our time.

A good day to bump the thread for anyone who hasn't seen it.
Happy Halloween to all Tivolutionaries!
