Series II 80 Hour Standalone at Circuit City

I was just at Circuit City checking the status of my pre-order of the new Series II Combo boxes. (The manager said he was at a meeting and told that the combo boxes would be available on November 15th).

They are now carrying the TiVo Series II standalones at Circuit City. It is the 80 GB model and their price is $399. The display model has a sticker on it with the date 11/02/02 so I assume they just put these out on the floor.

Fact? I hardly consider what a CC person ever says is FACT!

It may be a fact you heard it. But hardly a FACT it will happen.

I was 100% referring to the release of the Directivo units on the15th of November.. Not the Standalone units... :)

That's ironic...if you're talking about the Circuit City in Ledgewood, NJ, I picked up what they said was their only 80 hour Series2 Tivo box (besides the display) around 1 PM on Saturday, 11/2.
