They made the guy Jack apparently decapitated really unsympatheic: child pornography, sex offender, etc. You're not going to hear a real outcry for that guy's civil rights.

Loved Jack's line about playing with adults after he broke the guy's ankle.
Jack makes a convincing bad guy.
Kiefer Sutherland was great as the vampire in "Lost Boys".

The adults line makes sense...he's accusing the thug of being a child in a grown-up world.
