i just got a Phillips video sender for a friend over the weekend from Tesco, they have them reduced to £50..
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was about to buy one from Argos at £99.99! When I rang my nearest Tesco (big store) they had not even heard of them. I can't find it on Tesco.com either. Any ideas how I could get one at this price?

The date on that post was quite a while ago, and even then they were never on tesco.com. That special offer is over.
Why not post this in the thread rather tahn start a new one with a cryptic name?

I did, twice! With no response I thought I'd grab a bit more attention:p
I can't be the only one who has 'bumped' a message;)

you have to agree with sanderman the post was awhile ago. when i bought one from Tesco, Bristington, Bristol they had about 10 on the shelf but i dont know if they have any now. whenever i see a bargain and if i need it and can afford it i always buy it, i have a friend who always says i will get one next week - he never gets any bargains.
sorry cannot help any more it may have been a one off special offer.

Thanks for replying pr1uk. I must admit I didn't notice how long ago in the thread your post was. I'm with you regarding the bargains (if I see them in time!)

Philips have a new model out the VL1400
I expect they are selling off the old model /stock
A familar story?
Automan.

And the VL1400 addresses one of Automan's pet peeves since it supports RGB-passthrough!

It's just the £120.00 price tag that's putting me off :)
Automan.
Posted by: manolan
Is that RRP, or are they actually available somewhere?
Posted by: Automan
unbeatable have them on their website.
Just search for vl1400
Automan.

Thanks. You're right about the price tag, though. Just bought the DVD+RW, a painting, a holiday and some expensive DVDs, so it will probably have to wait til after Xmas!
