CSI - this weeks crime - spoilers

I really liked this weeks CSI. I figured the condemned guy would be proven to be innocent and everybody would learn a lesson about handling evidence properly or how much better today's technology is than yesterday's. I was completely wrong and delighted to be so.
I also kept thinking, "How in the world is Grissom going to solve this case in the next 5 minutes?" as the clock ticked down to the end of the show. After all, EVERY crime gets solved neatly in the end, right? But what they did instead really surprised me. Again, I was wrong and delighted to be so.
I really get tired of having endings that are either totally predictable (90% of shows) or unpredicatable but completely stupid (9.9% of shows). Once in a while (0.1% of shows), you get something that is unpredictable and yet quite intelligent. This was one of them.
I'll admit I like "CSI" better than "CSI:Miami", but I get tired of people saying that Grissom is a better character than Horatio because Horation is a "super know-it-all" and "totally led by emotions" where Grissom is "led by logic". I missed the first season of "CSI" (which I'm now watching on TNN) and got into "CSI" mid-second-season. The more episodes I see, the more I think Grissom is also a but of a "super know-it-all", but that only masks what a totally screwed-up person he is underneath. The fact that he can be the one and slowly reveal the other is a tribute to the writing and acting on this show. People CAN be screwed-up and yet do good things or be amazingly normal and yet do screwed-up things.
Of course, that's just my opinion - I could be wrong...

Yeah, this episode was a good one. It was different than most other episodes right from the first scene, since no one was killed before the opening credits. I expect this plotline to return in a few weeks.

Great CSI, but let's try and keep spoilers out of thread titles, please. We do all have TiVo, and most people don't watch it right away....

I think this is the 2nd episode this season, that they either didn't solve the crime, or they know who did it, but didn't have enough evidence.
keeps ya wanting more. I like it. About CSI Miami, I have tried to watch it, well nothing else is on that I watch at 10 pm on Monday, but I do have 3 episodes still in my now showing, that i haven't seen. I just can't stand that guy.
