Voiding Warranty???

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

The standard caution is put out about not upgrading a new unit til after 90 days due to warranty concerns.

I've look at my Series 2 60 hour TIVO and I don't see a sticker or seal that would be broken when the back is taken off.

Question: Where is this sticker or seal at so that one can tell that the insides have been accessed?

We believe there isn't one. Some Series 2 do have a sticker, so we don't think there's so more subtle system in place.

I bought my Series 2 60hr from BB with the extended warranty. I've upgraded it to 2 120GB's and I have the original 60GB put back in the TiVo box that I'm saving. If I have to return it for extended warranty service it will be because of a non hard drive hardware problem (motherboard etc...). I will put the 60GB back in and return it in the same condition as purchased.
