Sorry for the separate thread, but I just finished watching the part of CSI my DTiVo got before the power failed last night.

I'm missing about the last 20 minutes.

Please tell me how it ends!

They realize the the man on Death Row is not the Serial Killer but that he was the copycat and the original Serial Killer was still out there.

The FBI lab confirmed the DNA on Kathryns case and the man was scheduled to be executed (he did not kill the first victim but did kill the subsequent ones). Kathryn went to the execution.

The painter guy that had come back to the college that they suspected of killing the new victim was cleared when his prints did not match the partial on the garbage bag.

And in a switch for CSI. They did not catch the killer. they ended on a scene with the cop and Grissom commiserating about it. The cop saying it was times like these he would rather be lucky than good because the guy was going to kill again and Grissom stating that he relies on the fact that he is smarter than the perp. and will find the truth by the others mistakes. He says it scared him that the killer might be smarter than he.

Thanks M_L that was just my recording got cut off. I'd heard about the 'different' ending, but your note filled it all in. Now I can get on with my life! And patiently wait for next weeks episode!

And, for the record Rob, I think this killer is going to strike again. It'll be another cat and mouse game with Grissom, only maybe it'll go on more than two episodes.

Just a comment on the contents of the spoiler of the ending above:

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)

I thought that the guy who was on death row only killed the girl he was convicted for, and that the real killer killed the first 2 girls, and this guy was just the copy cat with the third girl. Small difference I know. :) But the other guy said that the copy cat had killed all the ones after the first (meaning original killed one and copy cat killed 2).
