I guess i put the Thread in the wrong Forum. sorry.
So here it goes again:

18 month ago i upgraded my Sony SAT-60 from a Single 40 gig drive unit to a dual Drive by adding a n 80 gig drive.
so its got a 40/80 gig setup.

Now i would like to pull the 40 gig ( A drive) and replace it with a 120 gig Drive.
Is it possible?
and uhm, how?

Have you read the guide? At one time this was a problem. I don't believe it is any longer, with the new tools. I believe you will loose your recordings.

Take a look at the upgrade guide.

I'm not sure about losing the recordings. I just HAD to replace my A: drive because it died. Everything went fine by using Hinsdale's How-to and MFSTools 2.0. I was a bit intimidated at first, but it couldn't have been any easier!
