Airnet + Series 2 = Plug-n-play??

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I currently have a Series 1 (SVR-2000) with Turbonet and it works wonderfully. But I want another TIVO (Series 2) and want to put on an Airnet Card.......

Is this upgrade as "plug-n-play" as the Turbonet install with 3.0 software??

I did a cursory search and couldn't find much...so that's why I ask..

Thanks,
Wes

You can't put either airnet, tivonet or turbonet in the series2. They don't have the edge connector.

Am I correct in saying that one can put a USB Ethernet card and then a Linksys WET11 Wireless bridge to connect to an access point (router)?

Sorry, can't help you there, I have exactly 0% experience with wireless networking. :(

Do a search on WET11, I think you'll see that a few people have had success.

Got it. Looks like the WEP11 is the one to go with because it is about the same price as the WET11. So a USB/Ethernet adapter in combination with an ethernet bridge (Linksys WET11 or WEP11) will do the trick.

Thanks!

Wes
