Ive never subscribed to directTV. A total newbie. I want to buy a package that will give me Series 2 DirectTivo. I understand their may be special incentive deals for new customers. Any recomendations where to go? Any all around advice. Thanks

I don't know if they offer the series 2 yet, but I got a good deal on a series 1 DirecTiVo at www.******************** a few weeks ago when I switched from DISH to DirecTV. I got the 2-room setup with one of them being a DirecTiVo delivered & installed for a total of $175.

After the install, I activated it through DirecTV and got the Total Choice Premiere with locals for free for the first 4 months if I signed up for the NFL package which was $49.95 a month for 4 months. With the $5 mirroring fee for having a second receiver, I am paying about $55 a month and have all of the premium channels (Showtimes, HBOs, Starz, etc) and the locals. When the 4 months is up, I will probably drop down to the Total Choice Plus with locals (plus the $5 TiVo fee & the $5 mirroring fee) for a total of about $50 a month.
