Andy Richter Controls the Universe returns Dec. 1 on Fox!

At least this show didn't move to WB :(

Look up or down just a bit on this link for the news:

Cool. Pony recommended this show some time last season, and I never did get a chance to watch it. I'll check it out this time.

I really like this show, it one of my top 5 SP. In fact, I like it so much its bound to be cancelled.

I'm still mad at Fox for cancelling Undeclared and keeping Andy Richter  But they are keeping Firefly around so I'll cut them some slack. I wasn't too much a fan of Andy, it was alright, nothing spectacular/

I liked it and am glad it's returning, but it conflicts with Alias for me.

I figured it to be a midseason replacement. Seems more like they want to burn off some episodes during christmas time.

I love this show. I need to go adjust my season pass order to make sure it works. I currently watch alias live and tivo malcolm right now. Tivoing Andy at 9:30 will fit into that.

It was supposed to be a midseason replacement, but then Fox decided "The Grubbs," which was supposed to be the new fall show at 9:30 Sundays, was too awful to actually air. However, they also decided "Malcolm in the Middle" reruns would suffice in that time slot until November sweeps ended. Oh, well, Andy in December is better than no Andy at all.

thanks for the info trainman.

this is my #4 season pass. I'm glad to see it back.

Booyah. An excellent show indeed!

I had my doubts that we would ever see it again after they put it "on hiatus"

Son of a bitch. It's opposite SVU. Damn my landlord. All my tv problems would be solved with DTV. Looks like I'll have to use my {shudder} VCR

That said, I highly recommend Andy. Fans of Conan O'Brien will get the humor. For new viewers - give it a few weeks before you pass judgement.

Does anyone know what show it is replacing? I also think they should have kept Undeclared on instead of Andy Richter, and I also enjoyed Go Fish. Andy Dick was definitely put to better use in that show than in Less than Perfect.

And Fox wonders why they're always 3rd/4th in overall ratings... Geez, Fox...again?? Another show that looked to be gone, only to reappear again completely unexpected?? They have some GREAT shows (or HAD some) that could make them #1 (or at least #2), but they never seem to know what to do with them..

See my post above...it's on instead of "The Grubbs," which never aired, but it's replacing "Malcolm in the Middle" reruns.

I never heard, did Greg the Bunny get cancelled? Or will it be coming back midseason as well? I loved that show too! I am glad that Andy/World is coming back!

Yeah I caught the part of the Grubbs but I couldn't think of what was currently airing in the spot.

I loved Undeclared (almost made me long to return to college life) and Greg the Bunny (unfortunately, it's cancelled, mstroh) but I am glad Andy Richter is returning. I was continually howling after many episodes last year. <knock on wood> Here's to hoping the trend will continue.

Did anyone catch the new episode? I thought it was great. This show deserves more attention.

I HATED Andy on Conan, and never thought I would be able to stand a sitcom with him.

I thought the previews looked interesting, and gave it a shot.

Freaking laughed all the way through it, even though I fought it. The secretary was cracking me up, and his two TV's were great. Add that to the Irish rantings, and I've got myself a new season pass.

Sorry for swerving off topic, but one of the actors from UNDECLARED is now on MALCOLM in the MIDDLE, working in a comic book shop -- too funny.

Having said that, loved the season premier of ANDY, and the whole sensitivity training class cracked me up.

Glad I kept my season pass from last season. Thanx to TiVo it recorded automatically.

Though not a great show, why couldn't they burn off the rest of The Tick over the summer?

Posted by: trainman

There was only one unaired episode of "The Tick," so I guess they didn't feel like either running that one as a "special," or rerunning episodes that didn't do too well the first time around.

Posted by: rasheed

I didn't know about this until after it aired. Poor time slot since my existing season pass from last season couldn't record it.

I liked Andy last year, and I LOVED the season opener. Wow, that was good. Layers upon layers of funny, gooey, goodness.

If they keep the quality that high, the show will be right up there competing with Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle as my favorite comedy.

Man i'm angry, my season pass from last season was gone, i usually keep them a long long time hoping they'll bury some extra shows sometime, but no dice.

Oh well, added it.

The show is really funny, up their with Scrubs as the funniest new show from last year.

I hope it does well.

And speaking of stars from cancelled shows, i'm glad to see some of the Sports Night gang getting jobs.

We all know about the Sports Night/West Wing connection, but is there a Sports Night connection to Andy Richter CTU?
