Can I recover SPs and WLs?

My wife's T60 just died for the third time in two months and is going back to Sony for yet another repair (YAR?:rolleyes: ). The upgraded drives were/are not the problem. If the T60 comes back with a new system board she'll lose all of her programs, season passes, and wish lists because the new SN will require a total clear/reset.

Is there any way to read to old SP and WL from the upgraded disks to insure they are completely reproduced on the new system/drive?

No. Unless you get the same mainboard back you have to wipe the drives to re-initialize the encryption.

Thanks Robert S. I was hoping to be able to open a file on a Linix system and read the subjects of the SPs and WLs so they can be manually recreated.

They aren't held in the Ext2 partitions. They're in the MFS Application partition, which makes them very difficult to get at.
