Thanks to Weaknees, I was able to upgrade my HDVR2 tonight to 105 hours (variable).

I used a Western Digital 120GB 5400RPM Drive which I obtained from Circuit City for $69 after rebate. It does not seem to be any noisier than the original Maxtor, and temp is reading 42C after over 2 hours of usage.

I followed Weaknees instruction exactly and the entire upgrade took less than 30 minutes.

A word to the wise, be VERY cautious when removing/replacing the HD. It's still extremely close to the PSU, and actually needs to be shifted even closer to remove/install in the bracket. If you have large hands, you can easily touch the PSU and get zapped.
