Ok, I think I really screwed up my old Tivo hard drive. I was attempting to reformat my old SAT-T60 40g to use in my win XP computer. I ran MFS Tools 2.0 on it and it ahowed full drive size. When I went to attempt reformat with Maxtor Max Blast II it is now showing only < 8g. I don't know if this is a irretrievable mistake or not. I though by reformatting the drive I'd save over buying a new 2nd drive for my PC. Am I stuck or is there a way to salvage this drive. Thanks.

Sounds like a BIOS issue to me.

What do you get if you use a DOS bootdisk (get one from bootdisk.com) and FDISK ?
