Looks a new round of HBO documentaries on Sunday (didn't these air after SFU last season?):

They're usually outstanding although I think the Taxicab Confessions have grown a little tired. The zoophile one looks outrageous. Anybody know how to set up a season pass for these?

There's no way to set up an SP that I've found. I've emailed HBO about having an umbrella "America Undercover" series title for these shows last year. Easiest way is a repeating manual recording for Sundays at 10:00 p.m.
After looking at the link it seems that won't work this year - "Animal Passions Premieres Sunday, Jan. 26, 11PM ET". The first two seem to follow last year's pattern. The rest don't have times listed.
If you're the type to check the HBO showcase each week these should be listed there. But it's still not "set it and forget it" like it would be with a single series title. Looks like it's time to email HBO again.

The Ice Man and the Psychiatrist looks good, although I believe they've done this one before. Is it a new installment with this guy, or just the last shows regurgitated?

Let me add to the chorus of folks who've emailed HBO about this problem. It's an incredible series, but without a Season Pass, I just plain miss it.

I just caught "Small Town Extasy" the other night, what a year after it was released?
Just another reason to read TiVo forum... thanks guys! I do consistently check for documentaries in showcases, but you're right that a season pass would be delicous.

I realize you are tired of them, but at least they are consistently named. I have a wishlist for Title "taxicab confessions*" I think that's it. First Run Only.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen some excellent editions of Taxicab, but it just seems most the recent ones have been about people and their sexual dysfunctions. I want to see more like the woman who thought she was ugly, or the retired mortician, or the 2 foreign guys that were high on ecstasy.
HBO is supposed to be presenting a "best of" from the previous 14 doc's this month too. You can also find good doc's on HBO's sister channel cinemax. They call them "Reel Life" and the last one about Saddam was pretty OK; and, although not part of that series, "Pumping Iron" was excellent, IMHO.

There is a special "Love it or Leave it: The Best of American Undercover", premiering Wednesday, December 18 at 9pm cst on HBO.

Did "Animal Passions" actually air? I can't find it on HBO's site anywere. Given the nature of the topic, it would be and interesting, if not bizarre show. I'm curious how the participants actually justify their participation. Boggles the mind.
Thanks

I read that it was pulled from their schedule at the last minute. And apparently it's been pulled before. Too controversial? Hard to imagine on Home Box...

Well that makes sense. I'd have to agree, too controversial for HBO. Just the thought creeps me out, but to be able to peer into the minds and hear the justifications would have made this and interesting one to watch.
Thanks.

Was the Bush campaign documentary in this series? I think it's called "On the Road with 'W'" or something like that. I can't seem to find it on the schedule...

"Journeys with George," by Alexandra Pelosi. I don't think it was part of this series. By the way, she has just signed a two-year exclusive deal with HBO.

Hmmmm... I don't see "Journeys with George" on the schedule either, but I'll put it on the wishlist.
