Refresh backupp drive?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I upgraded my DSR6000 by replacing the original A with a 120gb drive. Hinsdale and the whole underground crew are my heros!

Once 3.1 is running, I'd like to take a backup from my 120gb A and restore it to the original 40gb A so my "hot backup" drive has the latest software and SP/WL/thumbs info.

Is this possible?

thanks,

kim

Yes just use MFS Tools. The selective backup process reverses any upgrades and produces a backup that will recreate the original A drive.

I don't think there's any advantage to restoring the backup at this time, but having a current backup file is a good thing.

That's what I thought, but wanted confirmation.

A backup file is nice, but having it already restored to the original A means a total downtime of under 10 minutes should the current A fail. The old A lives in a drive box in my desk for just such emergencies.

Thanks, Robert!

cheers,
