newbie question.... again

ok, silly question time again.
i have had a few corrupted recordings, things that have either had bad pixxelation or just stopped halfway through in the past few days.

is there any way to make TiVo do a drive test of some kind? without taking the drives out the machine? i do plan to upgrade them and make several backups, in the near future. but right now i don't have the free time to do that. if there was some way i could leave TiVo to do a check on it's own, that would be ideal

thanks in advance for any help

No. The only thing like that in a TiVo is the green screen of death (which is infact mfsfix, a Scandisk-like utility), but there's no way to run that from the remote control.
