How much FF do you use in 24?

We all know that Tivo changed the way we watch TV, this is an example of Tivo changing WHAT I watch. Without the beloved FF button for Kim and Sherri I don't think I'd be still watching this show. I'm still watching the blondes, but with the older sister's initial reluctance to tell Reza's parents who Reza was with, she is showing signs of developing Kimlike behavior.

You and I are about the same. Jack & Palmer I watch normally, with the wedding group getting more viewing now that the interogations are happening. Kim gets FF at 3X so I can still read the CC on the outside chance that something interesting happens.
I've always done this with shows having multiple stories going on at once. ER is a good example as I only want to follow certain characters. Even then the slower parts get the 3X FF treatment.

I only FF through the commercials

I watch every minute of it even though some of the Kim parts are painful

Yes, the Kim story is irritating at times, but you never know when she'll intersect with the other storylines, and I'll want to know the background when that happens.

I only FF through the commercials because, as Dancar said, I'm kindof assuming Kim's storyline will become entangled in the main story at some point. Even so, I think her storyline is unnecessary. Surely a person in Jack's position, in the situation he's in, could afford the writers with plenty of story ideas for a TV series without the need to involve his idiot daughter in a secondary plot.
I was talking to a friend about this the other night, and we decided that Kim's storyline should go like this:
She and her boyfriend manage to get the little girl out of the hospital and they are all headed out of town. As they drive into the desert, the boyfriend becomes so annoyed with Kim's constant, self-righteous blathering about how they've saved the kid that he pulls out a gun and shoots her dead. He stops the car and pulls her body out onto the side of the road, makes the little girl get out, and then he drives off to save himself. We figure this whole scene could be done in under 5 minutes, and then we could get back to the real story. Plus, we wouldn't have to be concerned about what new ridiculous situation Kim would get herself into in the third season. :)

I watch it all, but I scream like a looney ******* every time they show Kim. I think the writers said to themselves "Well, we have a good thing going here, just like last year, what can we do to keep that going? Oh, I know, let's throw in stupid unbelievable random horrible crap that doesn't make sense just like last year."
My prediction for this season is the terrorists with the nuke will go after Kim and the kid. Kim will get knocked up by one of them and get amnesia, and the kid will go with her friend that kidnapped her and ultimately saved her, and then get caught up in a big drug bust. Then she'll tell the cop with curly hair that her babysitter is Kim Bauer, and call CTU. The cop won't believe her, because in the world of "24," even though it makes viewer's heads explode, it's entirely plausible that an 11 year old kid could be a drug dealer.

I FF through Kim's storyline. It's painful. It's a waste of my time. And even if it DOES intersect with the real storyline at some point, it'll be such an incredible stretch that I won't care.
BTW - I can see the future and Kim's storyline is worse than anything you can possibly predict.

LOL! So true.
I usually watch the whole thing aside from commercials since i watch it with my parents. Although it is painful at times to watch Kim and Sherrie. I wonder if they ever had a GOOD thought in their heads this whole season so far. Kim last season was believeable up until about episode 6.

I watch it, but Kim IS an idiot! And I might hate Sherri more than Palmer does!

Kim''s already out: she gets the boot. Although we FF at only 2X, and me and my wife make up stupid dialog while this is happening, that is surprisingly accurate I would think. :)
The bondes are close. The whole thing about mom, dropping out of school, etc. Junk. Hit FF there.
Sherri still may have something remotely interesting to say, so she stays still.

Talk about reinforcing the blonde stereotype...
Kim is just too stupid to live.

We've been putting closed captioning on and using FF1 where you still see the text. I just wish the daughter had been left out of this year, entirely. Some of the lamest crap I still watch. (Better yet, if she died horribly!!! cool...)

As cute as Kim is, there's just no need for her subplot. Bleah. Let's focus on getting Jack together with Sarah Wynter's character, posthaste!

Although I heartily agree with those who can't stand Kim and wish her dead fast, a brilliant poster in a different 24 thread suggested that she work a shift in an LA strip club to get enough money to take the bus/train/whatever out of LA. :)
As to dumb blonds, the record is held by the forgettable daughter marrying the Middle Eastern dude.

Why? She hasn't seemed dumb to me, just a character that hasn't be fleshed out yet.
