My humble opinion:
Episode 1: Awesome
Episode 2: Awesome
Episode 3: Awesome
Episode 4: Awesome
Episode 5: Awesome
Episode 6: Good
Episode 7: OK
Episode 8: Boring to the point of wanting to hit my head against a wall. (In other words, I FF'd through parts of it.)

I would almost reverse that. The first five were very good, but too shallow and quick to be awesome. It's been picking up steam ever since.

I'm kind of surprised to hear you say that ClutchBrake. I know you have a huge interest in the series because you'd ask tough questions about the meanings behind certain situations. I'd agree though, the pacing for the episodes seems to be dragging. I realize that all of last week was backstory, but when I watched them I wasn't shifting in my chair.
I realize this is science fiction, but it just seems like...how far do I have to suspend my disbelief? I've come this far so I will see it out, but something's happened between last week and this as to my enjoyment. I hate to beat a dead horse, but I just can't see Charlie & Lisa as the heroes in this thing.

I will certainly follow through with eager anticipation. In fact, every night this week I have begun watching watching at 8:40 because I know that is the soonest I can begin and not get commercials.
My disappointment comes from the rapid shift in pacing we have seen this week. The first five episodes were heavy into character development. I really enjoyed seeing the characters evolve over time. It was a welcome relief from the "Independence Day" style of Sci-Fi.
Suddenly, this week, we are locked-on to this generation and the show becomes more about situations than character development. Charlie, Lisa, and Mary just seem like cardboard cutouts when compared to Russell Keys, Sally Clarke, and Owen Crawford.

Again, ClutchBrake, I would reverse that. The first five raced through time so quickly, we never got to know the characters, and in fact when we got to the second generation I had to keep the web sit's genealogy up just so I could keep track of who's who. But now, we're really getting to know a relatively finite set of characters. Whereas in the beginning, it was ALL about situations, just setting up the mythology so that when something actually started happening, we'd have the necessary background.
Hey, wait a minute, don't tell me we actually DISAGREE on something! :D

Somehow I doubt we will erupt into a flame war over this. :D :D :D
